These past couple of weeks has been crazy. With all the rain that we have received is unbelievable. Being able to see all this rain is great because it will help with drought that has hit California for the past years. As far as this week, it has been exhausting, having played three tennis matches in three consecutive days is tough, we weren't able to practice and have enough time to rest. But with this week over, its time for me get some rest and get ready for next week. In English, I can't wait to start reading our next book, George Orwell is a great writer and some of his works are really great to read. Spring break is still one month away and I really hope to come faster. To McKeon, I really hope that you take care of yourself through this difficult time, I know you can get through this and really hope the best for your family. I am sorry that such devastating event hit you and your family this soon. I wish you the very best moving forward and look forward to see you back in class in the coming weeks.

I am very excited that January is coming to a close. I can not wait until February because I will be turning eighteen soon. In this past month, I have continued to work through the process of choosing a college. One of the biggest factors of choosing one is the cost of tuition. Since I have applied to many out of state schools, the cost will be more than in state schools. At the end of this month, I hope to receive the financial aid and hopefully can help lower the cost of attendance. I really want to attend college out of state because it will be a great experience living out of California and being able to meet new friends. Hopefully choosing a college will not be stressful because it is ultimately my decision. Sometimes, I have to go where my heart takes me and deal with the financial situations has I begin school. Like most seniors, I have begun counting down to the days until I walk across the stage. Though there is as feeling of not doing much work, I still have to work until the the month before graduation. If I do not continue to work hard, there is a possibility that the colleges will drop the chance of attending the school. I thank and appreciate all the support I have gotten over the years from my friends, family, and teachers. All the time that I have put into has paid off even though I did not have the ability to apply for top colleges. I am happy with what I have and glad that I have a chance to enjoy a bright future.
It has been a very good week after being away from school for two weeks. It is really nice to see all my friends and teachers. I am very ready to begin working and finishing my senior year. What its hard to believe is that in a few months, I will be walking across the stage along with all my friends and receiving my diploma. In these next few months, I hope to have the most fun because the memories I have made will be put aside and will begin making new memories in college. As the time is coming, I begin to reflect on what I have been through in the past years. I am very excited to begin college, meeting friends from different places. This week coming back from winter break has been fast, it is also very nice that there is a three-day weekend. I am very excited to begin the second semester, I am ready to finish strong until the day of graduation.Another week has gone by and we are getting closer and closer to finals week and Christmas break. This past week has been really good, I was accepted into three toal colleges and knowing that I have a place to spend my next four years is very satisfying. I was very disappointed in my fantasy football team because I had a chance to make the playoffs, but the loss at the end of the season took me out the spot. In English, Into The Wild is a very interesting book, McCandless is a very unique character that he is willing to go into the wild even though he will die and with very limited supplies. Personally, I think it would be interesting to meet him because I would want to know why he did not bring more than what he had and how he was able to make it to Alaska. I was wildly shocking to learn that McCandless was hired by NASA at the age of six and his intelligence level when he was a kid. There were certain points of his life where I thought he might have a career, but I never envisioned him to leave everything behind and venture out on his own. Also in English, we had a moment of meditation and I felt that there needs to be more of this because it can really help us to calm us down and relax our body and to focus on what is ahead instead of being so stressed.
It has been a really nice week coming back from Thanksgiving Break. I am looking forward to finals week and beginning to wrap up the first semester of senior year. It feels great with all of my college applications complete and submitted. The wait for the admission results will take around 2 weeks, and I cannot wait to see my results. I am really looking forward to Christmas break this year because this is the first time that I do not have to worry about studying for finals over the break. This takes the fun out of the two weeks, but now I can go on break and spend the two weeks with much positivity and come back ready to start the second semester. As this is my last year at Dublin High School, I feel thankful for all the teachers I have had throughout my four years, they have taught me so much knowledge and prepared me for college. Since my freshman year, it is special to look back at the changes that has gone through- from the number of students to the curriculum of different subjects. One of the most exciting events this past week is knowing that I was admitted into the University of Nevada-Reno. In English this week, we started Into the Wild, I am really excited to read this book because this story is not only based on a true event, but I love reading nonfiction books. Also, we began to write blogs, which is really exciting because writing blogs is different from writing essays, it does not require five paragraphs and the topic of the blog could be on anything.
